Protocol unit
The Protocol Unit provides a wide range of advice and support on protocol (the framework of rules and procedures that have evolved over the centuries to ensure that the conduct of international and state political, cultural and economic exchanges are carried out with dignity, efficiency and security).
For example, the unit advises the Northern Territory Government on protocol and hospitality, helps arrange and host ceremonies and functions, supports visiting delegations and dignitaries, and delivers programs such as the Territory Day and the Northern Territory Bravery Award nominations.
