National meeting a great success
The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) recently hosted the National Committee for Land Use and Management Information (NCLUMI) meeting.
The committee comprises a consortium of Australian and state and territory government partners, promoting the development of nationally consistent land use information.
The meeting included an open session for government and industry representatives, a field day and a focus on future work plans.
DENR is currently finalising a new land use map of the Territory which will include mapping of agricultural crops to assist with biosecurity risk management.
